Year 6 Events Gallery 2018-19
Take a look at some of the great things we have been doing in Year 6 Class.
Visit to Character Options - January 2019
On Friday 18th January, Year 6 visited Character Options, in Lees, as part of their business challenge preparation. They looked at the business model, observed the products coming in and being sent out to customers, learnt how to advertise effectively and were even treated to a look around the toy showroom!
Robinwood - January 2019
We packed in lots of exciting activities! The activities at Robinwood are designed to challenge, develop teamwork and stimulate the imagination. This will often result in a few surprises, with some children who are quieter in the classroom succeeding well beyond what had been expected. We try to ensuring everyone achieves great things, whilst at the same time having brilliant fun.
Annie Kenney Statue Unveiled - December 2018
Our wonderful Y6 History Club unveiling the statue of Annie Kenney in Oldham, December 2018. They were specially selected by Jim McMahon after their work on the Suffragette movement, which included an anniversary march, marking 100 years since women gained the right to vote in parliamentary elections.
Animal Magic - October 2018
On Tuesday 2nd October Year 6 were visited by 'Animal Magic Parties' as part of our 'Classification' topic. We got to meet (and handle) a variety of different mammals, reptiles, amphibians, arachnids and birds, including: meerkats, a chameleon, a skunk, a snake and even a tarantula. We learnt a lot about how the animals adapt to their habitats, survive, breed, feed and their behaviours.
