Oldham Schools' Music Festival - July 2019

On Wednesday the School Choir performed in the Oldham Schools' Music Festival at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.  The adjudicator gave glowing feedback and useful next steps.  Mrs Shewan thanks all the children for performing so well and also to Mrs Bishop, Mrs Jakeman and Mrs Dawes for helping on the day.

Easter Bunny Hunt - April 2019

Message from Lees Community Business Hub

Many Thanks for allowing us to come along to your assembly and present the prizes to the winners of the Easter Bunny Hunt.  We loved meeting the children and being part of the assembly.  It was lovely to see how well behaved all the children were and what lovely singing voices they had.

Grenadier Guards in Uppermill - April 2019

When the Grenadier Guards came to Uppermill on Friday 5th April. We took a number of students from Years 3, 4, and 5.

British Science Week - March 2019

This week is ‘British Science Week’ and on Monday 11th March Mrs Shewan led part of the assembly.  She talked about different jobs such as lab technicians, doctors, crime scene investigators and palaeontologists; these are all types of scientists.  We all dressed up as scientists ready to study our science topics throughout the week.

Our wonderful Y6 History Club unveiling the statue of Annie Kenney in Oldham, December 2018. They were specially selected by Jim McMahon after their work on the Suffragette movement, which included an anniversary march, marking 100 years since women gained the right to vote in parliamentary elections.

Elf Hunt Winners - December 2018

Some of our children have been elf hunting in Lees, Springhead and Grotton.  The children had to find and name each elf found in local businesses.  Thank you to everyone who took part and well done to our winners!
